RFCOC #1: Best Prank Ever

So I'm doing something new for my blog. It's called Random Fun Caught On Cam or simply RFCOC. I guess the name explains itself.

We plotted this prank during a 5-hour break, in between two classes (look at what boredom could do sometimes). It took us a few attempts to finally get one of our friends, who we'll keep by the name Amanda Secord, to answer our call.

Perseverance pays. Haha!

Shout out to my friends Kevan and Zeke (the best people to connive with), who thought about this! Brilliant.

Thank you to Arnold Schwarzenegger as well.

Make sure to follow my blog to see more of it in the future! :)

Typhoon Haiyan: Ways to donate if you live in Canada

#prayforthePhilippines Philippines needs help. I just left the Philippines to move back to Canada when the storm hit the country -- being away, this is the least I can do. As you all know, Super Typhoon Haiyan (locally known as Yolanda) made headlines around the world not just because it is one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded in history, but also because it had caused great devastation to many towns in the Philippines, and killed thousands and thousands of Filipinos. Even though the storm had left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, many are still in danger of getting sick or dying because many are without home, food, clothes and even clean water right now. Video from CNN It is known that Canadians are among the most generous of people in the world. Let us show, once again, how compassionate we all are by donating to the typhoon victims.  I have compiled links to different NGO sites where you can forward your monetary donations. Please feel ...

24th

I am celebrating my birthday in the Philippines again this year after being away for almost three years!  For someone who's been away for a bit, you would expect a big party to celebrate my comeback, but I didn't have a grand party. All I wanted were princess-themed cupcakes, Martha Stewart-y utensils, good food, and my close friends surrounding me. And all of them I got! Too bad my family couldn't be with me because they're in Canada, but big thanks to all my friends for helping me organize it and still making it a great one!  If you find the cupcakes pretty, my royal birthday cakes were made by my friend Gwyn. The moment I told her about my idea for my birthday cupcakes (many months before my birthday), she got excited and said she could do it for me! Gwyn was sick on my birthday, but still, look at how beautiful the cupcakes still turned out to be ( partida ) !  I was very touched because she even named the cupcake with the crown on it after me. She...

May: A month of many firsts

Sorry if I haven't been posting anything lately. Actually, I should have left for Canada this month, but I'm still in the middle of a quarter life crisis that's why I decided to still stay in the Philippines (so melodramatic, I know). Of course, being the proactive person I am, I can't just sit around and keep on thinking about what I want for my future every day . I have to keep moving while finding the answers I need. After four months of vacationing in the Philippines, I decided to get myself a job. When I think about it, I could probably survive a whole year in the Philippines without working since the cost of living here is not very high (well, at least, not as high as compared to Canada). It's just that, I don't like the idea of using up all of my savings  (the idea is just to dip into it) , my hard-earned money, my sweat and blood, and be unproductive at the same time. Just not that kind of person. I celebrated my first month in my new job earlier ...
