RFCOC #2: Ba-ba-ba...ba-ba-nana! Potatooo-ooohhh...

Despicable Me 2 is officially now showing in the Philippines! I can't wait to watch it! I'm such a big fan of the movie. I absolutely love each character. Who's not to love anyway? Gru, Agnes, the minions -- they're all adorable! I noticed, though, it's the minions that are gaining online popularity the most.

I attended the SM Toon Fest event in May just to see Tim and Dave in person. (I found out about it at the last minute. Good thing, the mall is just a 5-minute walk away from where I live.) I was probably the only 23-year-old present there. Haha! I don't really care.... Well, okay, yeah, I felt a bit shy lining up with kids, being the only 23-year-old to come up on stage to have a photo taken with the minions. But the moment I got close to them, I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and shake them and shout "YOU'RE SO FLUFFY, I'M GONNA DIIIIIIIIEEE!!!" ;D

Even my co-workers cannot get enough of them. Just take a look at this minion collection from McDonald's we have in our studio:

I also found out that the minions are singing on some tracks in Despicable Me 2's OST. The minions singing "I Swear", "Y.M.C.A.", and "Another Irish Drinking Song"? Buying!

You're probably thinking it's all gonna be gibberish, but a video of the minions speaking in different languages (even in Filipino!) went viral last week. Will you take a look at that, they're actually polyglots!

*Sigh* If only I can take them home... and the plotting of an evil plan, ala Gru, begins. (insert evil laugh)

Happiness in a cup

I have an overly sensitive tummy and when I was younger, my lola (grandma) often told me that drinking tea would do my tummy some good, but I didn't take her advice. I started loving it when I moved to Canada. Since it's freezing cold there, especially during winter, a hot drink in your hand is a staple. I don't drink coffee and I can't have hot chocolate all the time (because, as I've said, my tummy's ultra sensitive and having hot choco all day will set it off like a ticking bomb), so my last option is to have tea... and that's how I fell in love with it.
